2 The 60-Second Snapshot
Question | Short answer |
---|---|
What do we collect? | Contact details you share (name, address, e-mail, phone), order specifics, payment tokens (never full card numbers), device data (IP, browser type), and cookies. |
Do we grab sensitive stuff? | No. We never ask for or intentionally store race, religion, sexual orientation, or similar special-category data. |
Why do we need data at all? | To ship your tees, run our website, fight fraud, send service e-mails, and—if you opt in—occasional marketing. |
Who gets to see it? | Couriers (USPS, DHL, EMS, local post), payment processors, IT vendors, and law-enforcement if the law says so. We don’t sell lists—ever. |
How long do we keep it? | The life of your account plus seven years (tax rules). Then we securely purge or anonymise. |
Your rights | Access, correct, erase, port, restrict, object, and opt-out of marketing. Californian and European residents get extra bells & whistles. |
3 What We Collect & Where It Comes From
Data category | Typical examples | Collected when… |
---|---|---|
Identity & contact | Name, shipping/billing address, e-mail, phone | You create an account or checkout as guest |
Transaction | Items bought, subtotal, discounts, partial card token | You complete or attempt a purchase |
Device & usage | IP, browser, device type, pages visited, clicks | You browse teamett.com |
Marketing prefs | Newsletter opt-ins, SMS consent | You tick a box or tap “Subscribe” |
User-supplied content | Reviews, photos, customer-service e-mails | You upload or send it to us |
We sometimes top-up this info with public sources (e.g., postal databases to fix a bad ZIP code) or partners (ad networks telling us a campaign worked).
4 How & Why We Use Your Information
Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) | What it means in everyday language |
---|---|---|
Fulfil your order | Contract | Without your address the shirt can’t arrive. |
Fraud prevention & security | Legitimate interest / Legal obligation | IP checks, CAPTCHA, and audit logs keep bad actors out. |
Customer support | Legitimate interest | We pull up your past orders to solve problems quickly. |
Marketing e-mails | Consent | Only if you said “Yes, send me deals.” Unsubscribe any time. |
Analytics & site improvement | Legitimate interest | Cookie data helps us see which pages are slow or confusing. |
We’ll ask for fresh consent if we ever want to do something materially different with your data.
5 Cookies & Similar Tech
Tiny text files = better site speed, saved carts, and analytics. Most browsers let you wipe or block them; just remember certain features (e.g., checkout) may break if you go full cookie-free.
6 Sharing & Disclosure
We share only the minimum necessary, only with:
- Logistics partners – USPS, DHL, EMS, or other carriers need your name and address.
- Payment processors – Stripe, PayPal, or your chosen wallet see transaction details.
- Service providers – Cloud hosting, e-mail delivery, fraud-screen tools.
- Legal authorities – When a court order, subpoena, or law requires it.
No data-for-cash swaps, no “affiliate bundles,” no shady data brokers.
7 How We Keep Data Safe
- 256-bit TLS encryption on every page.
- Payment data handled by PCI-DSS Level 1 providers—cards never touch our servers.
- Access controls so only staff who need your info (e.g., Shipping) can open it.
- Routine penetration testing and backups.
8 Your Privacy Rights & How to Use Them
Right | How to exercise |
---|---|
Access / copy | E-mail us; we’ll send a structured file. |
Correction | Log in and edit profile, or ask support. |
Deletion (“Right to be forgotten”) | Request via e-mail; some tax-record data must stay seven years. |
Marketing opt-out | Click “Unsubscribe” in any promo e-mail or toggle it in your account. |
Do Not Sell / Share (CCPA) | We don’t sell, but Californian residents can still flag a request. |
Complaint | EU residents may contact their local DPA; everyone can contact the FTC or us directly. |
We answer verified requests inside 30 days (or the local statutory period).
9 Children
Teamett is for shoppers 13 years and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has slipped through, tell us—we’ll delete it.
10 International Transfers
Our servers sit in the United States. If you visit from overseas, your data travels here under standard contractual clauses and similar safeguards.

Identity & contact | Name, postal address, e-mail, phone | Creating an account, placing an order, contacting support |
Purchase details | Products, size, color, quantity, discounts | Checkout and order history |

Marketing choices | Newsletter opt-in, SMS consent, cookie preferences | Sign-up forms, cookie banner |
User-generated content | Product reviews, photos, e-mails to us | When you upload or send it |
We may enrich these records with public databases (e.g., USPS address validator) or advertising partners (telling us a campaign worked).
2 How Do We Process Your Information?
We rely on different legal bases depending on the purpose:
- Contract – Fulfilling orders, sending shipping updates, providing returns and refunds.
- Legitimate interest – Fraud screening, keeping the site fast and secure, improving our products.
- Consent – Promotional e-mails or SMS; you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation – Tax reporting, responding to lawful requests from authorities.
3 When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?
- Carriers & logistics – USPS, DHL, EMS, or another courier get your name, address, and phone to deliver the parcel.
- Payment processors – Stripe, PayPal, or your chosen wallet receive encrypted payment and fraud-check data.
- Service vendors – Cloud hosting, analytics, e-mail delivery, and customer-service software—only what they need to perform the task.
- Authorities – Courts, regulators, or law-enforcement when required by law.
We never sell or rent your data to third-party marketers.
4 Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?
Yes—small text files and pixel tags help:
- Remember what’s in your cart.
- Log you in securely.
- Measure site performance and fix bugs.
You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser or via our cookie banner. Blocking essential cookies (e.g., session ID) may break checkout.
5 How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We keep order records for seven years (U.S. tax requirements). Marketing data stays until you unsubscribe or two years after your last interaction, whichever comes first. When data is no longer needed, we delete or irreversibly anonymise it.
6 Do We Collect Information From Minors?
No. Teamett is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we’ve stored data about a child, we will erase it promptly.
7 What Are Your Privacy Rights?
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Right | What it lets you do | How to use it |
---|---|---|
Access | See the data we hold about you | E-mail us a request |
Correction | Fix inaccurate details | Update your account or contact support |
Deletion | Ask us to erase data (except where law requires retention) | E-mail request |
Portability | Receive a copy in machine-readable format | E-mail request |
Opt-out of marketing | Stop promotional e-mails/SMS | Click “unsubscribe” or reply “STOP” |
Object / restrict | Challenge certain processing | Contact support |
We respond within 30 days (or the statutory period).
8 Controls for Do-Not-Track Features
Browsers can send a “DNT” signal. Because there is no uniform standard, our site currently does not change behaviour when it detects DNT. You may still block cookies manually.
9 Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
California & other state privacy laws grant extra rights (e.g., know, delete, correct, limit, opt-out of “sharing”). We honour those requests—just follow the steps in Section 7. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
10 Do We Make Updates to This Notice?
Yes. We update this page when laws or practices change. Material changes trigger an e-mail or on-site banner. The “Last updated” date at the top tells you when the latest version took effect.
